As expected, Horo wins. Unexpectedly, she won barely. This match was surprisingly very close with Horo winning by ONLY 12 points! I really didn’t expect Mion to be this close against last year’s champion. Looking at the time graph, there was actually a point where Mion was leading! I would probably have been happy if she did win, but in the end Horo wins as originally thought. Still, time for a new champion.

Korean Best Moe Round of 16- Taiga vs. Ami

Result:

Taiga beats Ami again. I guess this might prove that Ami isn’t as good as Taiga overall. Behind Azu-nyan, Taiga is my favorite to win the tournament, at least out of the new characters.

Anime Saimoe Round 4- Groups C1 and D2

Results:

Group C1: Louise (ZnT) 784, Mion (Higurashi) 559

Group D2: Koromo (Saki) 792, Hanyuu (Higurashi) 566

Koromo!

Sad day for Higurashi as the remaining characters are eliminated. It’s different from 2007 when Rika was the champion and Rena was a semifinalist. Same with Lucky Star. Louise, however, is still as powerful as ever.

Well, I’m happy that Koromo’s still in. She’s just so cute! Even when she’s evil.

Anime Saimoe Round 3- Groups A2 and B1

Results:

Group A2: Yuuki (Saki) 878, Utau (SC) 384

Group B1: Kana (Saki) 713, Fuuko (Clannad) 625

Saki rules again! Yuuki defeats Utau rather easily, while Kana stuns another strong character, Fuuko. I wouldn’t be surprised if the champion is a Saki character.

Korean Best Moe Round of 32- Groups 13-16 (end)

It does not look like I posted groups 13 and 14′s matches, so I will post it here. Here are the results of the last set of matches:

I’m positive that I did post the last match, but I didn’t see it in the site. Oh well.

Ami wins over Index and Mion beats Miku. I guess Miku is not as strong as  thought. Today, Kagami gets an easy win while Louise cuts it close by 50. I would have liked to see Utau win.

Anime Saimoe Round 2 Groups G and H- Day 2

Results:

Group G1-2: Haruhi (Haruhi) 434 , Eruruu (Utawarerumono) 434, Kamyu (Utawarerumono) 106

Group H1-2: Nagi (HnG) 669, Rena (Higurashi) 430, Ichinose (YWGM) 86

We have a tie! Both Haruhi and Eruruu advance to the next round. According to resources, this is the first time a tie has occured in round 2. There will be 33 characters to be in round 3. If Kamyu wasn’t there, could the result have been different?

In the other match, Nagi gets a big win against Rena. Now she’s up against Saki.

Anime Saimoe Round 2 Groups G and H- Day 1

Results:

Group G1-1: Yuki (Haruhi) 464 , Evangeline (Negima) 249, Henrietta (ZnT) 246

Group H1-1: Saki (Saki) 509, Yomi (GRZ) 280, Sanya (SW) 269

Yuki and Saki wins quite easily. Saki is one step closer to Nodoka, but her next match by far won’t be easy.

Anime Saimoe Round 2 Groups E and F- Day 2

Results:

Group E1-2: Yui (K-ON!) 836 , Rika (Higurashi) 773, Toudou (MM) 95

Group F1-2: Taiga (TD) 786, Ami (TD) 627, Mikuru (Haruhi) 297

Yui gets a big win against 2007 champion Rika showing that K-ON! is still strong here. Taiga also survives her matchup by beating her rival Ami. I’m kinda surprised on how Mikuru who beat Kagami last time was so far behind.

Anime Saimoe Round 2 Groups E and F- Day 1

Group E1-1: Hinagiku (HnG) 603 , Mikan (TLR) 199, Golden Darkness (TLR) 174

Group F1-1: Maria (HnG) 602, Ana (IM) 215, Nodoka (K-ON!) 163

As expected, Hayate no Gotoku dominates in both matches. Poor Nodoka.
